(Leach) McGraw. Wayne served 22 years in the U.S. Coast Guard, retiring as chief warrant officer. He served in the Vietnam War. He coached basketball and baseball at George Stevens Academy and worked as a custodian for 10 years there, and as a custodian for 10 years at Surry Elementary School. Wayne was an avid Celtics and Green Bay Packers fan. His greatest joy was his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild. Wayne was a member of the American Legion of Blue Hill. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Beverly of Blue Hill; sons, Robert of Bucksport, Clinton and wife, Kathy, of Waterboro, Dana and wife, Amy, of Ellsworth and Mark and wife, LeAnne, of Hampden; daughters, Deborah Allen and husband, Don, of Blue Hill and Holly McGraw and partner, Glen Ashe, of Penobscot; grandchildren, Kim, Jason, Nicole, Laurie, Katie, Maggie, Justin, Windi, Zack, Cody and Becca; one great-granddaughter, Aaliyah; sister, Elaine Jones and husband, Harry, of Ellsworth; nephews, Chris, Greg, Evans Jr., Jeff and Tony; and nieces, Emilie and Jennifer."

She died on February 3, 1739, in Yarmouth, Massachusetts, having lived a long life of 84 years, and was buried in Yarmouth Port, Massachusetts.

[9113] "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 18 August 1971," p. 44: "Vernon Frank Tucker, 57, of Plymouth, was dead on arrival at Shelby Memorial Hospital last night after his car ran off State Route 39 and struck a mailbox, two miles south of Shelby. Richland County Coroner Dr. Robert W. Wolford ruled death was due to a heart attack. Highway patrolmen said the accident occurred at 7:15 p.m. Mr. Tucker was born in Shelby, Jan. 6, 1914 and had lived in Plymouth for 15 years. He was employed at the Business Forms Division of GAF Corp. and was a member of the Ehret Parsel Post No. 447, American Legion. Surviving are one stister, Mrs. Ila Donnenwirth of Plymouth; two nephews, and one niece. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at the Dye Home of J. H. Finefrock & Sons in Shelby by the Rev. M. P. Paetznick, pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Plymouth. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery with military honors conducted by the American Legion."
