Ginny was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, to George and Lena Mae Herzfeld on September 12, 1932. She attended schools in the town of Clinton, New York. Following graduation from Barrington College in Rhode Island, she married her college sweetheart Ivan Roy Hatch on September 7, 1957, in the town of Clinton, New York. They shared 56 years of married life and raised three sons, Tim, Dan, and Mark. Ginny shared ministry with Ivan with congregations in MA, NH, and Maine. The Hatchs retired to Scarborough in 2000, enjoying life near family and worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ. Ginny was a horsewoman and participated in equestrian competitions, winning awards in early adulthood. She enjoyed reading and learning and gained extensive knowledge of nutrition and natural health. As she was known to family, Grammy touched the lives of many individuals through her kind and thoughtful, genuine, and fierce love.
