192. JOHN FISKE (Nathanial, Nathaniel, William, Robert, Simon, Simon, William, Symond); b. England about 1619; m. 11 December 1651 Sarah Wyeth, eldest and only child of Nicholas by his first wife; b and baptized in England.
John Fiske was born in England and came to American with his brother Nathan and father Nathanial. The mother had probably died in England. The father died on the passage over. John took the oath of fidelity in 1652. In Watertown he purchased the west end of six acres of the Henry Dow lot, next south of Dea. T. Hastings and this was his first homestall which he sold March 15, 1648 to Charles Stearns. The inventory of his estate was made November 28, 1684 and amounted to 94-10-0. His daughter, Sarah, Margaret and Mary received at the age of 18 from Philip Smith, surviving executor of their uncle, John Clarke, late of Newport, RI, physician, deceased, legacies out of land on the Island of Canonicut, June 2, 1684, George and Martha (Fiske) Adams received a similar legacy, cach 3-14. The inventory of his estate was made by John Warren, Jonathan Smith and John Nevenson. He d. 28 October 1684; res. Watertown, MA.

[28783] George never married. He worked for many years for the Charles B. Scott Co. in Scranton, PA and r. with his sister, Mary, in the later years before dying of a heart attack. His grave marker records "PENNSYLVANIA PVT 11 MOTOR CO MTC WORLD WAR I". "The Scrantonian [Scranton, PA]. 23 July 1961," p. 10: "The funeral of George Hudak, 1322 Madison Ave., Dunmore, will be held from the Chipak Funeral Home, Madison Avenue and Mulberry Street, Tuesday with mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. John's Greek Catholic Church. Interment, St, John's Cemetery, Minooka section. friends may call 2 to 4, 7 to 10 p.m. Mr. Hudak died Friday night after a heart attack at his home. A native of Austria-Hungary, he lived here 55 years. He was a son of the late Andrew and Julia Hrivnyak Hudak. A veteran of World War I, he was employed 26 years in the electrical department of C. B. Scott & Co. He was a member of St. John's Church and has served as a former choirmaster there. Surviving are three sisters, Julia, this city; Mrs. Michael Macinsky, Dunmore; Mrs. Andrew Dranchak, Lancaster, four brothers, Stephen, Dunmore; Michael, Phoenix, Ariz.; John, Dundalk, Md., and Peter, Trenton, N.J., and several nieces and nephews."
