A Samuel Jewell was a Trustee of East Union Twp., Wayne Co., OH in 1856 according to Ben Douglass' "History of Wayne Co., Ohio" (p. 614).

Friday. Her death was due to the infirmities of old age. She Is survived by four daughters, Mrs Harry Cundey, Mrs. Eli Wolf, Mrs. Lena Cooper and Mrs. Henry Bigler, all of Akron, and one son, Fred Anthony, North Orange. The funeral will be held from the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Cundey, 380 Howe st. at 1 p. m. Sunday and interment will be made at Marshallville."
