[46624] "Tampa Bay Times [St. Petersburg, FL], 3 April 1971," p. 24: "Sarasota - Emory Norwood Dunn, 86, former manager of Gasparilla Inn, and cottages in Boca Grande, died Thursday (April 1, 1971). Mr. Dunn who lived at 1900 Ben Franklin Drive, Sarasota, was a native of Maine and a winter resident here for 40 years. He was the manager of the Gasparilla Inn for 24 years. The inn is located at Boca Grande on an island offshore from Punta Gorda. It was tarpon fishing that led to many notables being housed at the famous Gasparilla Inn. Survivors include his wife, Beth, a son, Richard E., Sarasota, and two grandchildren."
