Harry went to Philadelphia at age 17 and worked his entire career with the Pennsylvania Trust Co., becoming one of its principal officers. "The Philadelphia Inquirer, 14 October 1937," p. 4: "Harry Bower, disbursement officer in charge of trust funds for the Pennsylvania Company for Insurances on Lives and Granting Annuities, died Monday. Mr. Bower, who lived at 4940 Royal st., Germantown, had been associated with the Pennsylvania Company for 44 years. He was a member of the Masonic Order. His wife, Mrs. Mary Manship Bower, and two brothers, Milton R., of Landisburg, and Joseph N., of Chicago, survive."
