[13280] Find A Grave Memorial 62866298 offers: "During Eliza's early life she with her mother, father and 10 younger brothers and sisters migrated to California. They went by covered wagon. Eliza's mother was expecting her 12th child. The mother became ill and died on the way. They buried her on the prairie near Sweet Water, WY. Marie, the 14 year old daughter would die three weeks later and was buried in the salt flats of Utah. Eliza took care of the children until Laura, the youngest was eleven years old then she married Wanton C. Barber. They were married at Elk Point, So. Dakota. They moved to Villisca after their oldest son William W. was born at Yankton, So. Dakota. When they moved to IA. Eliza's Dad, Allen and the children that were at home moved too.
