Findagrave offers: "Woman was mother of ten children. A married life of 63 years was ended early this morning with the death of Mrs. George W. Briner. 81, at the Briner home at 717 East Broadway. She had been in failing health for about two years. The funeral service will be held at the Waugh funeral home at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in charge of the Reverend Mr. Hume. Burial is to be made in Highland cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Briner homesteaded in Osage, county in 1869. the year of their marriage. Later they moved to Siloam Springs, Ark., and then retired in Iola ten years ago. Mrs. Briner was born September 27, 1851 in Ursa, Ill. Besides Mr. Briner; Mrs. Briner leaves Mrs. Lillian Roberts. Chicago: George F. Briner. Hutchinson: Mrs. Myrtle. Jack. Denver: Ray Briner, also of Denver; Mrs. Mattie Sexton. of Wichita; Edna Briner, who is living at home. The other children. Clide, Laurence, Horace, and Claude, have all passed on."

Concord marriages: Jacob Farrar & Susannah Reddit were marryed together Decembr ye 26th 1692. Concord deaths: Cornett Jacob Farrar husband to Susanna his wife died April 29: 1722 [about 55 yrs. G.S.] Parents: Jacob Farrar & Hannah Hayward. Jacob's father was killed by the Indians in King Philip's War Sun. afternoon Aug. 22, 1675 (Monoco's Raid). Jacob was little more than six when his father was killed and seven when his grandfather died. He chose Edward Wigley, of Concord, for his guardian. Edward Cherleton, 5th Baron Cherleton succeeded to the title of 5th Lord Cherleton [E., 1313] on 19 October 1401. He succeeded to the title of Lord of Powis [feudal baron] on 26 November 1401. He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) circa 1407. In 1410 he sustained great losses by the rebellion of Owen Glendover. In 1417 he apprehended John, Lord Oldcastell (Lord Cobham), a Lollard, within his territory of Powis.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography." Mr. Schoch took sick on Saturday and the end came speedily. Deceased was the oldest member of the Jacob Schoch branch of the Schoch family, being in the 68th year of his age, he leaves a widow and four daughters to survive him, Laura, married to Rev. James C. Shindel; Cora, married to Rev. F. S. Shultz; Verdilla, married to Rev. Travers; Miss Lillie who is at home with her parents. Mr. Schoch was at one time County Treasurer, and was for many years an officer of Trinity Lutheran Church, was also Overseer of ilie Poor of this Borough for a number of years, and was an honest, upright citizen."
