Born in Lexington August 22, 1894, he spent the greater part of his life in the Mansfield vicinity. Mr. Barr operated the Barr General Store in Mifflin. He was a member of the Lucas Congregational Church and served overseas in WW I. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Lenora Barr, with whom he made his home; a sister, Mrs. Katherine Benson, of the home; a brother Fred Barr of Mansfield and a foster brother, Rev. Robert Barr, Boliver. Wappner Funeral Home, Mansfield Cemetery. ~ Mansfield News Journal (Mansfield, Ohio) Sunday, Sept. 14, 1952."
[9272] "The Perry County Times, 27 February 1947," p. 8: "William Henry Boyer, aged 81 years, 10 months and 26 days, died at 4:00 a. m., Monday, February 4, of a lingering illness, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ralph Meyer, 1109 North 16th street, Harrisburg, with whom he and his wife were staying since December 21, when he was taken suddenly very ill. He was a son of Ralph and Mary Jane Minich Boyer and was a life long resident of Perry County. He was a life long member of the Loysville Lutheran Church and Sunday School, attending regularly as long as health permitted. Mr. Boyer was married fifty-three years ago to Miss Aura Mae Wormley, of Loysville, who survives with one daughter. Mrs. Mever: seven grand children, two great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Samuel Shambaugh, oi Plainfield. He was an honest, upright Christian. Funeral services were held in Tressler Memorial Lutheran Church. Loysville, on Wednesday at 2 p. m., his pastor, the Rev. J. Grover C. Knipple, officiating, and burial was made in Restland Cemetery."

[2730] Humphrey IV was fourth Baron de Bohun and Constable of England. "Ancestral Roots..." (Balt., 1992) 193-6 gives his year of death as 1182. According the the chronicle of Lanthony, Humphrey IV was earl of Hereford and constable of England. But he died before his father, probably in 1182 in France while serving Henry the younger, so he never had the titles. Humphrey was married to Margaret of Scotland (who died 1201), daughter of Henry, earl of Huntington, and sister of King William the Lion of Scotland, and widow of Conan le Petit, earl of Brittany and Richmond (who died 1171). After Humphrey's death, his widow confirmed the gift of a marketplace to the priory of Bradenstoke that he had specified in his will. Cf. An unverified file in http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/GEN-MEDIEVA in 2016 offers: "As for Ela de Herdeburgh, mother of Edward le Boteler, she can be
readily identified as the daughter and co-heiress of Roger de Herdeburgh, son and heir apparent of Hugh de Herdeburgh, of Great Harborough, co. Warwick and Weston Turville, co. Buckingham. Ela's father, Roger de Herdeburgh, evidently died about 1184, as a young man. Previously, the name of Roger de Herdeburgh's wife was not known. However, it would appear that she was Ida de Odingsells, eldest daughter of William de Odingsells, of Maxstoke, co. Warwick. Ida subsequently married about 1290 to John de Clinton, 1st Lord Clinton, of Maxstoke. By her Clinton marriage, Ida was mother of two known sons, John de Clinton [2nd Lord Clinton] and William de Clinton [Earl of Huntingdon]. For further evidence of the Herdeburgh-Clinton-Odingsells connection, it may be noted that the names Ela and Ida ran in families descended from the Longespee family.
