She was the wife of the late Charles Fowler who passed away in April, 2000 after 60 years of marriage. Lurlene provided nearly 30 years of volunteer service at Courtland Rehab & Living Center in Ellsworth. She enjoyed ice fishing, camping and snowmobiling. She is survived by her son, Donald Fowler and wife Pearl of Surry; daughter, Shirley St. Ours and husband Richard of Millersville, MD; sister, Patricia Hamor and husband Steve of Northeast Harbor; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Lurlene was predeceased by brothers, Richard and Fred Black. Interment will be at North Bend Cemetery, Surry."
