[54131] Find A Grave memorial 227230744 offers Jean's obituary: "Jean was born on March,1, 1932 during the Great Depression to Francis and Dorothy Parkhurst. She had two sisters and three brothers, Ruth and Ellen, Henry, Graham and Newton. Jean was born Newton, MA, and she grew up in Medfield, MA. She moved with her family to West Hartford, CT, Memphis, TN, Texas and then finally back to Brookline, MA. She graduated from Brookline High School in 1950 and married her late husband, Harlon "Pete' Willis in 1956. Jean, Jeanie but more lovingly known as 'Mumsie', she was a woman like no other. Jean had many talents and tackled many careers during her life. She raised a family of four while also caring for her parents. She also worked in a Dental Office, she baked constantly and learned Canning, Cake Decorating, Gardening and Knitting. She was very involved in the Ocean Park Association during our summers in Maine. She taught Children's Craft Classes, organized the Annual Bazaar and then ran the Ocean Park Restaurant. At Bethany Church in Greenland, NH, she directed the Handbell Choir and she was part of a Bible Study known as the "The Group" who are still active today. Jean loved to travel and took many R.V. trips across the country with Pete and her family in tow. Jean loved to be surrounded by her family and holidays were always an event. Before Jean passed, she put together a family history titled, 'Before You Knew Me'. Jean led a rich and full life and she blessed her family and friends in ways that we are still discovering. She will be sorely missed but, we know that she in the presence and rest of her Savior Jesus Christ. All of Jean's siblings have predeceased her."
