Collins, Jr, "Royal Ancestors of Magna Charta Barons" (Dallas, 1959), p. 196, shows Geoffrey and Robert who died in 1282 as sons of Geoffrey de Neville of Raby Castle, Sheriff of Northumberland, who died about 1242 and who married Joan Monmouth (living in 1247) - this Geoffrey being son of Robert Fitz Maldred and Isabel de Neville! Others, including the alden.org website, have him born in 1664 in Portsmouth (Newport) Rhode Island, and died in Westbrook (Middlesex) Connecticut. He is a son of Daniel Grinnell and Mary Wordell . Daniel married about 1684 in Saybrook, Lydia Pabodie. Lydia was born 3 Apr 1667 in Duxbury (Plymouth) Massachusetts, and died 13 Jul 1748 in Westbrook (Middlesex) Connecticut. She is a daughter of William Pabodie and Elizabeth Alden They were Congregational."
