He was the son of Humbert IV, sire de Beaujeu and Agnès de Thiern, dame de Montpensier en Auvergne.1 Guichard III, sire de Beaujeu married Sibylle de Hainaut, daughter of Baudouin V "le Courageux", comte de Hainaut and Marguerite d'Alsace, comtesse de Flandres.1 Seigneur de Beaujeu at Burgundy, France.2 Guichard III, sire de Beaujeu was with the crusade against the Albigensian heretics, fighting in the Battle of Béziers in 1209.2 He died in 1216.3 FamilySibylle de Hainaut b. circa 1180?, d. 9 January 1217 Children:
