[46409] John (surname often seen "Moyer") m. a sister of Christian Gast who married John's sister. They moved to Marion Co. (OH) in 1833, and thence to Scott Co., IA 9 May 1851. They had seven sons and three daughters. See "Genealogy of the Meyer Family," Henry Meyer (Cleveland, Ohio: Lauer & Mattill, 1890), pp. 46-48. Finda A Grave memorial 156771341 lists these children for John and Mary: Philip G. Moyer (b.1822), Christian Moyer (1823-1899), Margaret Moyer (1825-1904), William Moyer (1826-1908), Sarah Moyer (b. 1829), Catharine Moyer (1831-1897), Daniel Moyer (b.1833 ), John Moyer (1835-1883), Elias Moyer (1840-1902) & Lebbeous Moyer (1842-1917).
