"Shamokin News-Dispatch [Shamokin, Pennsylvania], 16 August 1929," p. 4: "All that was mortal of the late Mrs. Kathryn Erdman was laid to rest in the family plot in the Blue church cemetery Wednesday afternoon. Ser vices were conducted by the Rev. J. F. Hoover, pastor of the Reformed church, of which Mrs. Erdman was a member. She had been a patient sufferer for many weeks and the end came peacefully Saturday evening while she slept with members of the family at the bedside. In her passing this community has lost one of its best known and highly respected residents. The community joins in extending sympathy to the bereaved sons and daughter."
