She was born on Sept. 15, 1930, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Bertha and Cecil Grindle. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Amos Wilson. Barbara is survived by son, William (Billy) Wilson and son, Lawrence (Larry) Wilson and wife, Susan M. Wilson; grandson, Benjamin Wilson and his sons Dennis and Carter Wilson; a second grandson, Christopher Wilson and wife, Laurie Wilson, and their son, Orion Wilson. Barbara worked as a telephone operator for many years, up until automation closed the facility in Ellsworth. She then worked as an office manager for area motels and years later retired from working for the Department of Human Services."
