She was born on July 16, 1910, in New Denmark, New Brunswick, Canada, daughter of Hans and Matilda Rasmussen Carlsen. On July 14, 1931, in New Denmark, New Brunswick, Canada, she married Milton Ashley Snowman, who died on Nov. 4, 1989. They enjoyed 58 years of marriage together. Mrs. Snowman graduated from the Grand Falls Business School in Canada. She and her husband had lived in the Coudersport area since 1953, moving to the area from Caribou, Maine. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking, baking, and was dedicated to the family farm. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was honored recently as being among one of the oldest citizens of Potter County. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and her only son, Galen A. Snowman, who died on Dec. 10, 2011. Burial will be in Sweden Hill Cemetery, Coudersport."
