Following his retirement he was an auto transfer driver for local car dealerships. Bob was a member of the Shelby American Legion, F.O.E. Aerie #763, Shelby Moose Lodge and was an active member of the Senior Center card club. He enjoyed traveling and watching football on television, especially the Brown's and Ohio State. Survivors include his wife, Carol (Bendle) Belsterli, whom he wed August 4, 1956; his children, Gary Belsterli, Rob Belsterli and Teresa "Teri" Kuhn, all of Shelby and Amy Belsterli of Olean, New York; ten grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; his brother, William (Dorothy) Belsterli of Clyde, Ohio; sister, Susan Cross of Mansfield; nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, three daughters, Tammy and Annette Belsterli and Valerie Jean Ritchie and sister, Janice Belsterli."

Among survivors are his wife, Mrs. Naomi F. Sheibley; four sons, Melvin W. of Camp Hill, Herbert J. and Chester F., both of Newport, and Donald L., of New Bloomfield; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Rider of Carlisle, and, 10 grandchildren."
