"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 18 February 1963," p. 22: "Sullivan - Mrs. Alice V. Dunbar 86 died in an Ellsworth hospital Friday after a brief illness. She was born April 5, 1876 at West Newbury, Mass., the daughter of Luther P. and Martha (Dooley) Blaisdell. She was the widow of Harvey W. She was a 50-year member of Sorois Society, the Oasis Chapter O.E.S. of Sullivan, and had operated Edgewater Inn at Sullivan for 32 years. She is survived by two sons, H. Scott and Emery, both of Sullivan; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, three nieces and one nephew."

He sailed for the Grand Banks in April, 1858 with a crew including his brother Peletiah, his first cousin Luther Leach, his second cousin Peter Mograge Leach, Jr., and his friends Elias Perkins, WIlliam Wardwell and Eben Webster. After leaving Castine the vessel was never heard from again.
