[7263] His family is constructed by Mark E. Honey from the 1880, 1900 and 1920 census records. The 1906 Town Register shows one child as S. Edward of 40 Ford, Brockton, MA. "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 9 November 1900, p. 3: "South Penobscot - By the death of Capt. Joseph Dunbar, who passed away at his late home Monday morning, Penobscot lost a good citizen and a popular sea captain. The deceased has been ill for some months. When he left here to go to the Banks in the A. C. V. Woodruff last June, he was not in good health and his many friends advised him to stay at home. The deceased was born in Penobscot about 60 years ago and has always resided here. He was a thorough navigator and has been in the employ of Capt. Nicholson of Bucksport as skipper for a number of years. Capt. Dunbar was a member of Rising Star Lodge of Masons of this place, and was a man who had many friends. He leaves besides a widow three sons, two residing here in town and one in Brockton, Mass." The Woodruff was captained in 1900 by John Foster Peterson, also in this database.

"Evening Sentinel [Carlisle, PA], 7 February 1906": "George W. Flickinger passed away at his home, 335 N. East St., Tuesday eve at 9:15, after a lingering illness. Deceased was a soldier of the Civil War, born in Perry county, Jan 5, 1828, and was a son of Peter Flickinger and Margaret Ritter, also natives of that county. He was a member of the Reformed church of Carlisle. Besides his wife he is survived by six children - Mrs. Anna Eliza Rhoads, of Carlisle; David N., Perry county; Mrs. Ida Martha Uhler, Geroge V., and John M., of Carlisle; also one sister and three brothers - Mrs. Susanna Wagner, Martin and Benjamin, all of Perry county, and Prof. Henry F., of Philadelphia. Funeral will take place Friday at Kutz's church at 11:00. Friends will please meet at the home in Carlisle at 10:00. Interment at Letort Springs cemetery."
Additional bio per Dennis Brandt: "In 1860, he was a farmer living with his parents in Saville Township, Perry County, Pennsylvania. Shortly after the census was taken, he married Mary Jane Stambaugh and fathered Clara Ellen (b. 03/13/61, d. 09/13/63) and William H. (b. 03/27/63, d. 07/01/64). He stood 5' 5" tall and had black hair and gray eyes. Mary Jane died in 1864, and he married Elvina Sheibley, fathering Anna Eliza (b. 1866 - married Cornelius Rhoads), Newton David (b. 06/03/67), Ida Martha (b. 1870 - married a Uhler), George Vernon (b. 08/19/72), and John Martin (b. 06/21/77). A Civil War veteran, he enlisted in Harrisburg March 10, 1865, mustered into federal service there March 16 as a private with the second organization of Co. F, 104th Pennsylvania Infantry, and honorably discharged with his company June 25, 1865." - Find A Grave memorial.

Jacob and Susanna (Baker) Price, Abram. H. Cassel said -- Elder John Price "had a son Jacob who was an exhorter among the Brethren. He was here (Indian Creek) on a visit about 1780. He preached a number of sermons among the Brethren and attended the wedding of his cousin William Price. He seems to have been a very dearly beloved brother, as he was kept in affectionate remembrance by all who knew him. Religion: Carried the title of Reverend. Title: A genealogy of the Descendants of Rev. Jacob Price, Evangelist and Pioneer. Note: Burial: 1839, Country Cemetery, near Welty's Mill, Franklin Co., PA.
