[40726] Joyce's obituary: "Joyce A. Bleecher Platt, 70, of Mountville, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2010, surrounded with love from her family. She was the wife of the late Chester W. Platt who passed away in January of 1997. She was born in Lancaster, daughter of the late Harry E. D. and Elizabeth G. Longer Bleecher. She was a food service worker for Service America Corporation and a hostess for the Symposium Restaurant for the past eight years. She attended Trinity Lutheran Church, Lancaster and was a foster mother for many years. She loved dogs, gardening, traveling and cars. She was an avid reader, especially books by Stephen King and Ann Rule. She is survived by three brothers: Edward F. Bleecher, Corning, IA; Barry L. (Cheryl) Bleecher, Quarryville and H. Dale (Ila) Bleecher, Willow Street. Two sisters: Frances B. Stively, Millersville and Lorna Jean (Malcolm) Rash, Salisbury, NC. Sister-in-law: Janice Bleecher, Lancaster. Numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother: H. Glenn Bleecher."

[19445] An unverified tree in Ancestry.com in 2019 offers: "When Harvey C. Swarner was born on January 28, 1870, in Fairfield, Ohio, his father, George, was 31 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 26. He had two brothers and three sisters. He died in 1949 in Lancaster, Ohio, at the age of 79. . . . [His Wife] Anna W. Landis was born in July 1878 in Ohio. She died in 1957 in Fairfield, Ohio, at the age of 79." "Lancaster Eagle-Gazette [Lancaster, Ohio], 2 June 1949," p. 2: "Harvey Clement Swarner, 79, 132 Arlington av, who, with his wife had operated a tailor and jewelry shop, at 200 South Columbus st. since 1925, died Wednesday, 9 p. m., in Lancaster Hospital, following a two weeks illness. Previous to 1925, Mr. Swarner operated a tailor shop in Baltimore for 35 years. The Lancaster establishment was known as Swarner and Swarner. Survivors include his widow. Anna, and one sister, Mrs. Lester Kumler, Baltimore. Services will be held Saturday, 2 p. m., in the A. E. Johnson Memorial funeral home, Baltimore, with the Rev. E. F. Braden of Beulah EUB Church officiating. Burial is to be made in the Methodist cemetery at Baltimore."
[4990] Matthew was a clothier. He was buried 16 Jan 1618/19 at St. Mary Church, Bocking, Co. Essex, England (his will dated 19 Dec 1616 was proved 28 Jan 1618/19). See Web Page: http://www.whipple.org/docs/descendants.html However, the LDS Church's unverified Ancestral File (55JL-G2) reports his birth as 29 Aug 1576 and states he is "of Bradford, St Bowling, Essex" and m. there 29 Aug 1576, and is son of a Matthew Whipple b. 1538 in Bocking, Essex. "The NEHG Register: The Journal of American Genealogy, Vol. 171" (Boston, MA: 2017), pp. 134, provides a chart showing Matthew's father, Thomas, and Thomas' father, Thomas.
