[3553] Northeim is a district in Lower Saxony, Germany. The city of Northeim is first mentioned in 800 in a document recording a propery transfer by a Frankish nobleman to the Abbey of Fulda. In the 10th century the wider area became a county under the Counts of Northeim. The first of them, Siegfried of Northeim is mentioned in 982. From 1061 to 1070 Count Otto II of Northeim held the duchy of Bavaria as an Imperial fief, but he lost it because of an alleged involvement in a murder plot against the king.

A Leland L.. Ritzman is single and in the April, 1940 Columbus, Franklin Co., OH federal census, age 39, b. in OH, whose previous residence was San Francisco, CA, and who is district manager for a meat packing company. Leland apparently also m. Lois Reed (1912-1991) who is buried with Leland.
