He was a member of the Ashland First Christian Church, the Masonic Lodge 151 F and AM, the Scioto Valley Consistory of Columbus, the Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland and the Ashland Shrine Club. He was a charter member of the Ashland Jaycees, the City Planning Commission, the Ohio Hardware Assn., the Ashland Chamber of Commerce, the Ashland Country Club and the Young Men's Business Club. He is survived by his wife, Harriet; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas Hipp of Ashland; one son, Robert Jr. of cincinnati; one brother, Guy C. of Ashland and four granddaughters. Private services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Denbow-Primm Funeral Home, Ashland, with the Rev. Eldon Smith officiating. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery."
