[49502] Barney and ancestry are from the unverified file G79P-1BK in familysearch.org. "Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 3 May 2019": "Milbridge - Barney B. Beal left his earthy home and walked into the arms of his Savior at 9:34 pm on Wednesday, May 1, 2019. During a brief illness, Barney was surrounded by his wife Linda as well as many family members and dear friends. Linda, long-time friend Janet Thurston and son Toby were by his bedside when he gave up his fight and went to his heavenly home. Barney was born on July 24, 1947, the son of Nehemiah and Esther (Stanwood) Beal. Barney married the love of his life Linda (Tibbetts) Beal on January 31, 1975. Since just a boy Barney worked on the ocean by digging clams, worms and lobstering. Barney also worked for many years on security detail at the Korea Navy Base. Barney would gather brush during wreathing season working hard to keep Linda stocked enough to create many Christmas wreaths. Barney worked with the Milbridge police department. Brother Jeff remembers when Barney also worked in cement plant in CT. Barney enjoyed most spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and time at the camp at Schoodic Lake. Barney was the main chef for family Christmas gatherings. Barney enjoyed gardening, playing softball, would umpire for the high school girls' softball games around the state and worked with little league. Barney is well known as one of the New England Patriots biggest fans. In addition to his wife of 44 years, Barney is survived by three children: son Richard 'Ricky' Dorr and his wife Tammy of Leavenworth, KS; daughter Samantha Floyd and husband Samuel of Columbia, ME; and son Toby Beal and wife Tara of Auburn, ME. Barney is survived by nine grandchildren: Dustin, Devin, Gabby, Michael, Lane, David, Trevor, Teya and Jakob and five great grandchildren: Taavi , Venna, Walker, Jael and Zeke. Barney is also survived by brothers Jeffery Beal and wife Sandy of Milbridge and Leland Beal and wife Lynda of Milbridge; sisters Ann West and husband Clifford of Steuben; Anita Merritt and husband Paul of Cherryfield; Tamie Rhodes and husband Stephen of Stratham NH; sister-in-law Sharon Trapp and husband John of Addison and brother-in-law Jerry Tibbetts and wife Nancy of Sevierville TN. Barney will be dearly missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. Barney was predeceased by both of his parents and his parent-in-laws Gerald and Evelyn Tibbetts as well as a brother Rodney Beal and a sister Linda Pinkham. His family will miss so many things but agree that we will miss most his trademark laugh. Barney was a faithful member of Faith Community Fellowship in Trenton, Maine and will be sadly missed by his church family, in particular the parking team on Sunday mornings."
