He was preceded in death by a daughter, Delores, in 1930 and a son, Raymond, in 1936."

[7997] George's obituary: "George H. McAllister 80, of 215 Windy Hill Road, Shermans Dale, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005, at home. Mr. McAllister was born Jan. 10, 1925, in Carlisle, the son of the late Arch and Mary (Crum) McAllister. He was a World War II Army veteran and landed on Omaha Beach as part of the first wave of D-Day. He was a self-employed plasterer working with his brother as McAllister Brothers. He was a member of Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church, Shermans Dale; Shermans Dale Fire Company; Shermans Dale Ambulance; Shermans Dale Lions Club; New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463; and Millerstown Moose Lodge. He loved square dancing and was a member of CPCA and AFMA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching baseball games and, most importantly, his family. He was the widower of Panzie L. McAllister and was predeceased by a brother, John McAllister. He is survived by a son, Darwin G. McAllister, and a daughter, Brenda M. Richwine, both of New Bloomfield; a brother, Galen McAllister of Shermans Dale; 5 sisters, Jane Wallace, Pat Morrison and Helen Latchford, all of Shermans Dale, and Ruth Baughman and Martha Wilt of Landisburg; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren."

She suffered from hives of the throat and the condition of the throat became so serious last night that she smothered. Mrs. Erdman was the wife of tha assistant chief engineer of the Shamokin and Mount Carmel division of the Susquehanna Collieries Company. She leaves her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Seiler, and one sister, Mrs. H. R. Simmons, wife of Dr. H. R. Simmons. Mrs. Erdman was one of the most highly accomplished women in the county and came from one of the richest families of this section."
