"The Brookville American, 20 July 1944", p. 13: "John M. Enterline, a veteran of the Spanish-American War, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Roy Alcorn, in Worthville, Tuesday at the age of 69 years after a two months' illness. The deceased was born in Sprankle Mills a son of Daniel and Margaret Mauk Enterline, June 18, 1875, and was united in marriage to Edith Myers 41 years ago. She died in 1924. A miner by trade, he had spent his entire life in the Worthville section of the county and was held in high esteem. His death is sincerely mourned. He is survived by the following daughters and sons: Mrs. Roy Alcorn, of Worthville; Mrs. John Orr, of Shannondale; Mrs. Reynold Sowers and Mrs. Lloyd Lingenfelter, of Timblin; James Enterline, of Punxsutawney, and Samuel, of Fort Custer, Mich., George D., of Camp Maxie, Texas, and Raymond, in England, in the service of their country. Four brothers and one sister are also living: Stanley, of Indiana; Webster, of Brookville; Isaac, of Kittanning; Gleason, of Hebron, O.; Fred, of Ridgway, and Mrs. George Meade, of Akron, O. Nineteen grandchildren survive." John is son of Daniel Bitterman Enterline (1847-1902) & Margaret Mauk (1852-1922).

Jefferson and Angeline moved to Ferndale, WA in Sept. 1903 and purchased a farm near Ferndale in 1904. From Whatcom County Land Records. William inherited the farm from his father and quit claimed it for $1.00 to his mother a few days before he divorced Etta Frances Glass in 1916. Jefferson Hoover, b. April 21, 1846, Louisville (Nimishillen Twp., Stark Co.), Ohio, d. March 12, 1916, Ferndale (Whatcom), Washington. Buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, N.W. Drive & Paradise Road, 5977 Northwest Drive, Ferndale, WA 98248. (360) 384-3734. The cemetery is approximately 6 miles N.W. of Bellingham and 2 1/2 miles East of Ferndale. His death is recorded in Cemetery Records, Volume 3, at the Bellingham Library and states: Hoover, Jefferson, born 22 April 1846, Ohio, died 12 March 1916. Death Certificate #62, Whatcom County, WA. The grave is located in Block A, lots 30-31. Albert and Beatrice Hoover are buried nearby. Jefferson's Washington State Death Certificate, No. 62, states he was buried on March 14, 1916 at Woodlawn Cemetery. There was no undertaker. It appears that he died at home in Ferndale.
