Alan Chaput posted on the ancestry.com Harshbarger [sic] message board 10 May 2004: "Catherine HERSHBERGER (married Philip ALBERT) is one of six children of Abraham HERSHBERGER and Ursula SHANOWER. Their other five children are (source: Lancaster Co PA Deed 0-5-304): Barbara HERSHBERGER; Susanna HERSHBERGER (married John KEISER); Elizabeth HERSHBERGER; Christina HERSHBERGER (married Jacob GELSINGER); Abraham HERSHBERGER. The senior Abraham HERSHBERGER is the child of Jacob HERSHBERGER and Catharina UNKNOWN. Catherine HERSHBERGER's father Abraham HERSHBERGER was recognized as a DAR patriot in 1994. Therefore all of Catherine's direct descendants can gain membership into Daughters of the American Revolution or Sons of the American Revolution." Her full name was Anna Catharina Hershberger. Becky Teubner's file states that he and Catherine died in Elizabethtown, Mt. Joy Twp.

Ritzman's birth date as 4 July 1871. "The Elizabethville Echo [Elizabethville, PA], 5 March 1925," p. 4: "Mrs. Sarah E. Strayer, who returned from the Harrisburg Hospital about a month ago, died at her home near Gratz, on Wednesday, February 25 at the age of 53 yrs. 21 days. She had suffered with cancer for the past six months or more. Her parents were the late Charles and Margaret Hoover, nee Evitts; she was born in Lykens township, June 4, 1871, baptized September 1871 by Rev. William Landes, confirmed October 10, 1891 by Rev. John J. Stauffer, united in marriage to Harry Strayer by the same pastor, September 4, 1892. Four children survive: Allen and Nevin, and Mrs. Howard Phillips of Gratz; Mrs. John Hoover, Lykens Township; six grandchildren, five sisters and four brothers."
