[119] Lydia's final years were spent with her daughter, Ella, near Ravenna, OH. She was a remarkable woman whose life was filled with tragedy and hardship. Her granddaughter, Beatrice Christlieb, described her as a large woman, very tall, very beautiful and very gracious. She is buried with her husband, Sam Myers, in Section 2, Row 18 in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Uniontown, Stark Co., OH.

His date of birth has also been found as 11 Jul 1701. He was also known as Jacob Markley about 1725. At some point he is known to have changed his surname to Markley, and the earliest known use of Markley on actual records was in 1725 when he signed to a petition for a road in the Skippack region of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He owned 100 acres of land bought from Jost Heydt on 17 Jul 1728 in East Perkiomen Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He owned 132 acres of land boukght from Nicholas Scull on 28 Nov 1728 in East Perkiomen Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. He was a member of Trapp Lutheran Church about 1760. In a list dated 27 Nov 1760, Jacob Markley contributed ten shillings toward the salary of Rev. Mr. Muhlenberg, Pastor of the congregation. He signed a will on 10 Jun 1779. He named as executors his sons Abraham and Isaac. His signature to the will was witnessed by William Pannebacer and Jacob Markley. He had his estate probated on 24 Jan 1785. On 1 Jul 1786 the executors of the estate sold to Jacob Markley 152 acres of land from the estate. Parents: Abraham Merkle and Anna Veronika. Spouse [# 1]: Barbara Dodderer. Jacob Merkle and Barbara Dodderer were married on 13 Feb 1722 in Skippack, Philadelphia (now Montgomery) County, Pennsylvania. Their date of marriage has also been found as 13 Feb 1721/22. Children were: Abraham Markley, Philip Markley , Markley , Isaac Markley, Veronica Markley, Rebecca Markley, Christina Markley, Catherine Markley. Spouse [# 2]: Barbara Kausch. Jacob Merkle and Barbara Kausch were married on 29 Jul 1739 in Perkiomen, Philadelphia (now Montgomery) County, Pennsylvania.
