A file in Ancestry.com in 2013 offers: Jeremiah Johnson 1746-1783 · · a blacksmith, married Phoebe Brown on Dec. 25, 1765, in the Dutch Reform Church at New Paltz, Ulster County, N.Y.. The record of their marriage states that he was born on Staten Island and was living in Shawangunk Township, Ulster County,N.Y. Jeremiah died in New York State in 1783. Phoebe and her children moved to Wyoming Township, Northampton County, Pa. and from there to Drummondville, now part of Niagara Falls, in 1786. Here she met and married John Wrong (1753-1843) on July 10, 1788. They settled on Jeremiah's family lands, Lot 37 and 38, Concession 6, Gainsboro Township, Lincoln County and had 2 sons John Wrong Jr. (1789-1853) and Gilbert Wrong (1792-1856).
