His birth information and parents (Daniel Traxler and Elizabeth Cramer) are from the unverified "Pedigree Resource File," database, FamilySearch (http://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.2.1/SGRW-ZZ2). Find A Grave Memorial 64623988 reports: "Peter's parent's were: - Daniel Traxler born 1772 in Cumberland Co., PA and died in 1848 in Crawford Co., OH. - Elizabeth Creamer Traxler b. 1785 In PA and d. 1845 in Crawford Co., OH. Daniel's parents were: Michael Traxler, Sr. born 1750 in Germany and died 24 Apr 1818 Dublin, Huntingdon Co., PA and Elizabeth Kramer/Creamer/Cramer Traxler born Abt 1745 in Germany and died ? Dublin, Huntingdon Co., PA. Micheal and Elizabeth Kramer Traxler arrived in Cumberland Co., in the mid 1770's. He was one of the founders of the 'Associated Grace Reformed Church' of Shippensburg, Cumberland Co., PA. The church is now a 'United Church of Christ'."
