His marriage date seems too early - dates need to be confirmed. Alexander III was crowned king at Scone on this day in 1249, at the age of seven. He was the son of King Alexander II and his wife Marie de Coucy. Alexander III's father died in the January of 1249, leaving his son to inherit the throne. Alexander married Princess Margaret of England, a daughter of King Henry III of England, and the pair had three children - all of whom died within a few years of each other and before the death of Alexander himself, leaving him without an heir. He died at the age of 44 after falling from a horse and was succeeded by his granddaughter Margaret.

https://www.historyscotland.com offers: "King Alexander III married Yolande of Dreux on 14 October 1285. King Alexander III married Yolande of Dreux on 14 October 1285 at Jedburgh Abbey. Yolande was the daughter of the Count of Dreux and was Alexander's second wife. The match was seen as advantageous for both parties and allowed Scotland to assert its indepencence from England, by allying with France. Sadly, just five months later, Alexander died in a fall from cliffs in March 1286, whilst riding home from Edinburgh to meet Yolande. Once it became clear Yolande wasn't carrying Alexander's child (some accounts claim that she had a miscarriage) she returned home to France and later married the Duke of Brittany."
