[32745] http://www.findagrave.com reports "Victoria was the daughter of Marion and Nancy Broadhurst Faubion, who were both born in Liberty, Missouri."
[51559] Madeline is daughter of Elmer Brooks Day (1890-1970) & Flossie May Carter (1896-1967; m. 29 January 1916 in Brooklin, Hancock Co., ME). "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 29 April 2016": "Blue Hill - Madeline Day Snow, 99, died April 28, 2016, at Seaport Village in Ellsworth. She was born in West Brooklin, July 4, 1916, the daughter of Elmer and Flossie (Carter) Day. When Madeline was an infant, the family moved to South Blue Hill, where she attended grade school and had some of her fondest memories. She often relived these memories and remembered the people who lived in their neighborhood. In 1930, they moved to South Street in Blue Hill, where she attended George Stevens Academy, graduating in 1934. After graduation, Madeline worked in the Star Store in Bangor and other jobs in Northeast Harbor. In 1937, she was united in marriage to Roy Snow of North Blue Hill. They lived most of their married lives on South Street raising two sons. These were Madelines happiest times, being a wife and mother. She was a lab technician at the Blue Hill Memorial Hospital for the Drs. Connell for several years. In 1960, she opened Madelines Fashion, a ladies clothing store in Blue Hill. It had always been her dream to have her own store and now it became a reality. Without any prior business experience, she operated the store for 25 years, retiring in 1985. Many of her employees and customers became her dear friends. In 2009, she moved to Parker Court, where she resided until her health declined. Madeline will be remembered most for her strong love of family and her eternal optimism. 'It could be worse' was her favorite phrase. She is survived by her son, Cordell and wife Sandy of Ellsworth; daughter-in-law, Rebecca of Syracuse, N.Y.; three grandsons; two granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband; her oldest son, Glenn and a brother, Roger."

[51998] "The Ellsworth American [Ellsworth, Maine], 27 August 2018": "Blue Hill - Glenice Elaine (Gray) Ellis, 94, passed away in her sleep on Aug. 25, 2018, at Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. She was born on Aug. 10, 1924, in Brewer, the first child of Preston W. and Alice M. (Emery) Gray of Orrington. Following graduation from Brewer High School, Glenice attended business school in Bangor before beginning her career in the banking industry. She was employed by Merrill Trust Co. for many years and, subsequent to her relocation to upstate New York in 1967, by First National Bank of Glens Falls. At the time of her retirement from First National Bank in 1986, she was the manager of the banks transit department. Finding retirement an unsatisfactory pursuit, Glenice began a second career as a nanny for Supreme Court Justice David B. Krogmann and his wife, Barbara, of Glens Falls. For the next 12 years, she cared for their two children, Allyson and Grant, both of whom remained very dear to her throughout her lifetime. In 1999, Glenice returned to her home state of Maine, where she took up residence in Blue Hill. After returning to Maine, she enjoyed many years of friendship with her neighbors and acquaintances throughout Hancock County. She joined the Penobscot United Methodist Church, where she was a regular 'greeter and reader' as well as an accomplished cook for their many church suppers and breakfasts. Glennie was an avid reader and a faithful fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. She also shared with her son, John, a passion for NASCAR races. Many happy vacations were spent visiting her son, Joel, and his two children in Florida, where she indulged her beachcombing hobby and collected countless beautiful seashells. Glenice was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Wayne Gray and Frank Gray, and her son, Joel Ellis. She is survived by her daughter, Faye Candage, of East Blue Hill; her son, John Ellis, of Vietnam; sister, Mary Cranker, of Warrensburg, N.Y.; brother, Donald Gray, of Orrington; sisters-in-law, Doris Gray, of Milford, and Patricia Gray, of Orrington; as well as seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, and many beloved nieces and nephews."

[1035] Richard was living in Lynn, MA before 1650. He came to MA with his father about 1625. In 1681 he bought Hunfries' farm on present-day Nahant Street, Lynn. He was admitted as a freeman in 1691 and in 1692 was allowed to sit in the pulpit with seven other older men (defective hearing?). "Israel Kenny..." by Bell (1944) states that Richard is "said to have been born at Lynn Regis, Norfolk County, England, about 1625." Lewis' "History of Lynn" states he may be brother of John Hood who was of Lynn in 1657 - this would make him a son of John Hood of Halstead, Essex, England, but no son Richard is mentioned in Johm's will (NE Reg., 50:423). He was granted administration of his father-in-law's estate in 1656-57. http://www.dws.org/dlovrien/genweb/g0000044.html states Richard was b. ca. 1625 in Lynn Regis, Co. Norfolk, England. Also see http://petjr.crosswinds.net/GENE/pafg09.htm#1028 (discovered on the Internet in May, 2002 and not verified) - this site gives a different wife for Richard. For the culture of New England during his lifetime and beyond, see "Albion's Seed: Four British Folkways in America," David Hackett Fischer (NY: Oxford University Press, 1989), pp. 13-205.
[57168] The unverified file 24L1-MP8 in familysearh.org offers: "When Thomas Rainsford Orser was born on 22 November 1835, in Hartland, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada, his father, Samuel Bishop Orser, was 19 and his mother, Irene Ransom Shaw, was 18. He married Harriet Adelia Britton on 22 October 1857, in Brighton, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada. They were the parents of at least 7 sons and 9 daughters. He lived in Brighton, Carleton, New Brunswick, Canada for about 20 years. He died on 1 January 1920, in New Denver, British Columbia, Canada, at the age of 84, and was buried in Arlington Municipal Cemetery, Arlington, Snohomish, Washington, United States."

"The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine]," 7 July 2023: "Manchester - David Shorey Silsby died peacefully at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta on July 4, 2023. David was born May 14, 1930, in Bangor, ME, son of Dr. Samuel S. Silsby and Ella Shorey Silsby. He was the third of 5 children, brothers, Samuel S. Silsby, Jr., James A. Silsby, Carl T. Silsby and Paul S. Silsby, all now deceased. He grew up in Bangor, graduated from Bangor High School, attended Maine Central Institute, University of Maine, Portland Junior College and earned his law degree from Portland School of Law in 1958, now University of Maine School of Law. In 1958, he met the love of his life, Eleanor Bragg Eames Guild, in Bangor, whom he married in 1959, becoming father to her 2 young children. Together they loved and raised their 5 children, who went on to bless them with 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. In 1966, after working in the private sector for several years, Dave and Ellie moved the family to Augusta, Maine, to begin his career as a Legislative Officer for the state of Maine, first as Assistant Director of Legislative Research, then becoming Director in 1974, a position that was later renamed Revisor of Statutes. He stepped down as Revisor in 1989 and became Director of the newly formed State House and Capitol Park Commission, tapping his innate creative ability as he worked toward the restoration of the State Capitol and its grounds. He also served on the Supreme Judicial Court Planning and Design Commission, and was a member of the State Capitol Master Plan Committee. He was a man of great vision, with a deep appreciation of history, who made many contributions to State Government and his beloved state of Maine over his 25-year career. In 1991, Dave retired from State service and turned his self-taught love of watercolor painting into a business, culminating in him being accepted into the Copley Society of Art. His paintings hang in many private homes and public collections throughout the State of Maine and Florida. In addition to art, he took great pride in landscaping his gardens, and in his 1929 Ford Model A Roadster, named 'Buttercup' by the Manchester Elementary School children. That yellow and black car provided many years of enjoyment to Dave and Ellie, as well as to grandchildren who loved riding in the rumble seat at various parades or going for ice cream. Dave's devotion to and support of family was evident, from building ice skating rinks to snow sculptures and lemonade stands, arranging fishing derbies at camp, attending baseball and basketball games, cross country and track meets, assisting in endless school projects and scout badges to mention just a few. During retirement for the next 24 years, he and Ellie attended nearly every grandchild's sporting event, from T-ball to basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, field hockey, lacrosse, swimming, tennis, dance recitals and more school projects and plays. If a child or grandchild needed any help, he was always there and could provide whatever was needed from his magical cellar.
Dave is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years, Ellie; daughter, Karen G. Bryant of Quincy, MA; sons, Donald E. Guild (Suzanne) of Manchester, David S. Silsby Jr. (Janet) of Manchester, Robert E. Silsby (Jana) of Sudbury, MA, and Andrew E. Silsby (Theresa) of Winthrop; grandchildren, Adam M. Bryant (Karen), Jennifer B. LaCourse (Steven), Emily J. Guild, Cameron D. Guild (Amanda), Jessica L. Silsby-Digmann (Dustin), Joshua D. Silsby, Devon G. Silsby, Keaton G. Silsby, Nathan W. Silsby (Steffany), Abby W. Silsby (Cliff), and Molly W.
