This seems strange, and the list of children attached to each wife includes birth dates which do not seem possible; Nathaniel is shown as son of Mary.

Nickel learned with sincere regret of her death which occurred Friday of last week at her home in Loysville. She had not been in good health for a year past. Ruth Naomi NickeI was the only daughter of Samuel and Alice (Bower) Snyder and was born at Bridgeport, this county, February 10, 1886. Her parents moved to Harrisburg when she was a child, where they lived for several years, later returning to Bridgeport and afterward moved to this place. She and Casper C. Nickel were married September 3, 1908, and soon after took up their residence in Loysville. She is survived by her husband and three children - Helen, Ruth and Charles; also by her mother and one brother, David A. Snyder, of Washington. D. C. Mrs. Nickel was a consistent member of the Lutheran Church and was a young woman of intelligence and refinement."
