Lauderdale, died Thursday night at Broward General hospital. Born in Brazil, Ind., Mrs. Piper came to this city in 1911. She lived at 216 SE Eighth street. She was a member of Park Temple Methodist church and was a past matron of the Ft. Lauderdale chapter Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include her husband, David E. Piper; a daughter, Mary Ruth Piper of Cornelia, Ga., a son, Lt. Col. E. G. Piper, U. S. Army in Germany: a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Taylor, Traverse City Mich., and a brother, Harry W. Gardner of Detroit."
