[1081] "Our Pilgrim and Quaker Ancestors" reports "Lydia Doane was born probably before her parents came to Plymouth. She married 11 September 1645, Samuel Hicks, who came over to Plymouth with his mother, younger brother and sisters, in the Ann, in 1623. His father, Robert Hicks, came in the Fortune in 1621. Lydia and her husband had probably seven children, four of whom we have been able to trace." The Doane genealogy gives her death date as 8 July 1665, but this must be too early (see last child's birthdate).
