He was born November 4, 1919 in Omaha, NE the son of Floyd G. and Lillian B. (Henningsen) Harris. He served in the US Marine Reserves from 1937-1940. On August 18, 1939 he was united in marriage to Ines Blansit. Mr. Harris served in the US Navy during WWII. He and Ines lived many years in Kansas City, KS, where he was employed by Proctor & Gamble, working there for 42 years until his retirement. In 1970 he and his wife returned to southwest Missouri and lived in Chestnutridge. He was a member of Spokane First Baptist Church. Mr. Harris enjoyed ranching and playing the stock market. Survivors include daughter Sharlene McKee and husband Richard, Nixa, sons Johnny Harris, Chestnutridge, Richard Harris and wife Jana, Leavenworth, KS and Robert Harris and wife Celia, Kansas City, KS; 11 grandchildren; a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; sisters Dorothy Kibbee and Ruth Warfel; brother Henry Harris; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Ines Harris brothers Robert Allen Harris and Louis James Harris, and his parents Graveside services will be 10:30 am Thursday, June 23 at Shupbach Cemetery, Spokane."
