[46657] "News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 30 October 1939," p. 12: "Ashland - Mrs. Mary Susan Dove, 84, died Sunday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carrie Jane Shearer, West Liberty street. She was grandmother to 15 and great grandmother to 22. Other survivors are a son, Charles Dove of near Jeromesville; and three daughters, Mrs. Shearer, Mrs. Myrtle Frances Rupple, Richland, Kan., and Mrs. Eva May Buckingham of Nankin. Mrs. Dove was a member of the Jeromesville Methodist church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Shearer home, with Rev. B. F. Martin, Congregational minister, officiating. Burial will be in the Eckley cemetery."

[41594] "Harrisburg Telegraph, 2 December 1937," p. 7: "Milton Hoerner, 69. died last night at his home, 34 Poplar avenue, Hummelstown, following an illness of three weeks. Mr. Hoerner served as superintendent of the First United Brethren Church for many years. A cabinet maker, he was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. He was employed by the Hershey Lumber Products, in Hershey, for 22 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Emma H. Hoerner; three sons, Harry T., of Collingdale, George M. and Charles D., of Newville; two daughters, Mrs. Grace Buser and Mrs. Pearl Wollerton, both of Hershey; three brothers, Alfred and Frank, of this city, and Edward, of Boiling Springs; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Cole, of Camp Hill, and Mrs. Grace German, of Highspire, and eight grandchildren."

The deceased was formerly of Mahantongo Valley and of Hegins. Three years ago he moved to Summerfield, Florida, where he died. His survivors are his wife, a brother, Jas. Snyder, of Pillow and sister, of Kulpmont."
