"News-Journal [Mansfield, Ohio], 18 February 1960," p. 2: "Mrs. Erma Mae Crum Parr, 74, of 930 Maumee Ave., died at 4:40 p. m. Wednesday following an illness about two months. Mrs. Parr resided with her daughter, Mrs. Marilyn V. Dinges, at the Maumee Ave. address. Mrs. Parr was born near Shelby March 24, 1885 and had been a resident of this area her lifetime. She, was married to Detroit H. Parr. Mr. Parr died June 6. 1936. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Mansfield. Other survivors, in addition to Mrs. Dinges, are two daughters, Mrs. William F. Harper and Mrs. H. Hedges Princehorn, all of Mansfield; a son, Robert Parr of Columbus and a step-son, Harry Parr of Houston, Texas. There are two brothers, Frank D. Crum and Wilbur C. Crum, both of Mansfield, and two sisters, Mrs. Faye Cashman and Mrs. Goldie Baker, both of Shelby, also 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Jones Memorial Saturday morning at 11 o'clock in charge of her pastor, Dr. Carveth P. Mitchell. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery."

[50633] "The Bangor Daily News [Bangor, Maine], 1 May 1944," p. 18: "Roy G. Hutchins, 56, of Milbridge, died last night in the Eastern Maine General hospital from a gunshot wound through the body. The shooting took place about 9:30 o'clock Saturday night at the Hutchins home on the Kansas road some three miles outside of Milbridge. Hutchins was brought in to the Eastern Maine General hospital about 4:30 o'clock yesterday morning and despite emergency treatment including plasma transfusions and an operation died at about 1:40 yesterday afternoon. State police under the direction of Capt. Laurence C. Upton, acting chief of the State police whose home is in Milbridge and Capt Sidney Frost of Troop E of Bangor, Sheriff Ray S. Foster of Washington county, and County Attorney Oscar L. Whalen of Eastport conducted an immediate investigation. Sheriff Foster said last night that the only facts so far ascertained was from the story of Hutchins' wife who declared he had been cleaning his 30-30 rifle and that the gun went off and the bullet passed through his body. County Attorney Whalen said that Medical Examiner Oscar Larson of Machias would make an autopsy sometime last night and that following his report 'we will know where we stand'. Hutchins at the hospital is said to have told two conflicting stories - one that the shooting was an accident and the other that someone else held the rifle."
