[43755] Shamokin Daily News, 12 December 1931, p. 8: Wesley W. Frymire, old canalman and a veteran employee of the Sunbury Converting Works, passed away at his home at Sunbury following an illness of a week. Frymire had been engaged for the past few years as watchman at the upper gate of the converting plant. He came home from work a week ago yesterday, complaining of a severe cold and was forced to take his bed. A complication of diseases developed and he had been in a serious condition since that time, life slowly ebbing away until the sad end today. The deceased, during his younger days, was a riverman and great sportsman. He took logs from Lock Haven to Marietta, guiding the rafts thru the old canals and down the Susquehanna for a period of some years. When that mode of transportation gave way to the railroads, Mr. Frymire took a position at the converting works, where he had been employed for 20 years. His demise severs a happy marital union of 53 years. Mr. Frymire was married to Catharine Noll, of Millersburg, who is now seriously ill from a heart affliction.

Charlene was born in Danforth on August 27, 1928, to Clyde E. and Lydia (Getchell) Noyes. She was one of thirteen children raised on the family farm on the Irish Settlement Road. She graduated from Danforth High School in 1946, and was proud to have worked for two summers in Bridgeport, Connecticut, manufacturing supplies for the war front. Charlene married Sidney in 1946, and served as a Sunday school teacher and teen group leader at the Danforth Pentecostal Church over several decades. In her younger years, Charlene loved helping others, staying often with family members when they needed help of various kinds, and she loved to garden. Charlene truly enjoyed having her family around her, and 'Nana' was more like a mother than a grandmother to her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of sixty-nine years, Sidney Bruce Faulkner; and his identical twin brother and best friend, Elmer Alvah Faulkner. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Archie Noyes, Harland Noyes, Wanda Dixon, Ardis Burns, Amos Noyes, Leta Getchell, Ione Robertson, Clara Godwin and Clyde Noyes, Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Reta Faulkner and her husband, John Ribe; grandchildren, Garrett and Linnete Cowger, Patrick and Ruth Ann Cowger, Mariam and Patrick Foss, and Michael and Angela Cowger. She is also survived by her beloved great-grandchildren, Felicia Cowger, Sydney Cowger, Jordyn Cowger, Madeline Cowger, Phoebe Foss, Isabella Cowger, Gabriel Foss, Camryn Cowger and Jesse Cowger. Charlene is also survived by siblings, Lloyd Noyes, Lydia Preston and Colby Noyes; several nieces and nephews; and very special sisters-in-law, Mildred (Hanington) Faulkner and Barbara (Lee) Noyes."
