Wardwell, 81, left this Earth for her eternal home in Heaven on Thursday, December 8, 2022, following a brave battle with cancer. She was born on May 26, 1941, the daughter of Theodore and Mabel (Akerson) Nelson. Sylvia was educated at Woodland and Caribou schools. She then went on to marry Rodney Wardwell on February 27, 1960. Together they resided in Perham for 59 years. Sylvia was a self-described 'domestic engineer.' She did what she loved, which was caring for her family and others around her. Sylvia was employed at French's, Penobscot, McCain Foods, and Campbell Soup Seed Farm. She also worked at Alpha One as a health assistant, housekeeping at Cary Medical Center, and had several housekeeping clients who were very dear to her. She was a member of the Caribou Assembly of God, where her passion was youth ministries and vacation bible school with 'Elmer.' She had fond memories of the family farm where there was always livestock and family members visiting from away. Sylvia enjoyed spending time outdoors especially camping trips throughout Maine and New Brunswick, A.T.V. rides, and meals with Rodney and family at their backyard camp. Sylvia truly was an angel on Earth. She will be remembered by all that met her by the way she selflessly touched their lives. Sylvia leaves behind by her two sons, Rodney Wardwell Jr. and wife, Kim, and Joel Wardwell and wife, Kelly, all of Woodland; seven grandchildren, Jessie, Jessica, Jimmy, Sarah, Danielle, Kristen, and Erin; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and by a special "sister friend" of more than 75 years, Lula Johnston. Sylvia was predeceased by her husband, Rodney Kent Wardwell in 2019; by her siblings, Phyllis, Audrey, Shirley, Lorraine, Kenneth, Richard, and Wesley; and by a special cousin Norma Lagasse."

Assistant manager of Clark's restaurant, he had been ill only two days. Mr. Shacke ford was born in Kitzmiller, Md., and lived in Akron 30 years. He was a veteran of World War II. He leaves his wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Pamela; brothers, Walter of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Budd of Akron."

Mr. Urquhart was born on May 8, 1935, in Jonesport, Maine, to Albertina and Hallie Urquhart. He was a lifelong lobster fisherman in Bucks Harbor, and was employed for 15 years as a construction worker as a member of Laborer's Local 1377. Mr. Urquhart enjoyed hunting and trapping, watching wildlife programs and the Boston Red Sox, loved spending time with his cat, 'Tigger', and looking out his kitchen window at the fishing boats moored in his beloved Bucks Harbor. Mr. Urquhart is survived by his wife, best friend and soul mate of 62 years, Sandra Jean (Sprague) Urquhart; a son, Percy 'Perty' Urquhart Jr., of Machiasport; and a daughter, Nola (Urquhart) Sylvain and her husband, Paul Sylvain, of Euless, Texas. He is also survived by grandsons Patrick Sylvain, of Machiasport, and Thomas Sylvain, of Machias; great-grandchildren Tyler and Madison Sylvain, of Cutler, and Justin and Jordan Sylvain of Old Town; sisters Francis Kilton of Jonesport, and Albertina 'Tina' Ryan, of Addison; one brother-in-law, Lerory 'Sammy' Sprague Jr. and his wife, Patricia Sprague, of Bucks Harbor; sisters-in-law, Ramona 'Mona' Gatcomb. of East Machias, and Sally Alley and her husband, Milton Alley, of Winterport; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, and an infant daughter, Jolene Urquhart." Percy is son of Halburton Alberton Urquhart (1902-1970) & Albertina M. Alley (1905-1970; m. 9 December 1922 in Jonesport, Washington Co., ME).
