She was born June 4, 1933 in Van Buren, a daughter of Lester and Sarah (ODonall) Archer. She attended Brownville High School. Pauline will be remembered as an excellent cook, gardener, avid reader and bird watcher, but most of all she loved her grandchildren. She was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Exeter. In her early years she worked as a stitcher at San Antonio Shoe. She is survived by her husband, Gerald Ellis, currently of Fairfield; 3 sons, Sherwood and wife Connie of San Antonio, TX, Arthur and wife Janice of Dexter, Gary and wife Karen of Kittery; 2 daughters, Sharon and husband David Rowe of Benton, and Tammy McCaw of Plymouth; 11 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandson. She was predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters."

Ray, Sr. was very active in town government (served numerous terms as selectman and many years as a volunteer fire fighter). He was a dairyman and orchardist. Raymond L. Perkins, Sr. was murdered 11 Nov 1942 by his mentally unstable hired man while his son was away during WWII."

See "Gen. Dict. of ME & NH," p. 595. "The Great Migration Begins: Immigrants to New England, 1620-1633" reports that Samuel m. Rebecca about 1676 and that Samuel is son of James Rawlins [sic] (b. ca. 1613, d. at Dover, NH between 16 Dec 1685 and 13 Aug 1687) and his wife, Hannah. James Rawlins was granted six acres at Dover 18 March 1651 and was on the tax list as early as 19 Dec 1648 there.
