The unverified Jones Family Tree in Ancestry.com in 2015 states "Johannes Yost Erdman was born in September 1682 in Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany, the child of Nicel and Aila. He married Anna Catharine Seiple on March 8, 1711, in Pfungstadt, Hesse, Germany. They had two children during their marriage. He died on October 30, 1760, in Northampton, Pennsylvania, having lived a long life of 78 years." - and provides further ancestry. Robert M. Sanders states "Johannes Erdman and Anna Katherina arrived at Philadelphia on ship St. Andrew with 3 of their children, 1 was married and stayed in Germany, and their oldest, Johan Justus, had arrived previously. The names of women and children are not listed on the ships passenger list, but there is evidence of their being in Pa." Sanders also states that Johannes is son of Nickel Erdman (b. 10 Jan 1658 in Climbach, Germany, son of Melchior Erdtman) and Aila Hoffman (b. ca. 1659 in Allertshausen, Hesse). Ancestry.com offers: "
