[43789] Lenora's obituary from the "Bangor Daily News": Lenora N. Bakeman-Brockelbank passed away on January 17, 2018. She was born on May 30, 1928, in Castine, ME, to Leon and Ella (Morey) Bakeman. Nora was a hardworking, energetic woman who cared for her family. She was very giving, had a great sense of humor and loved a good adventure. Nora married, had three children and moved away from Castine. During that time her parents became ill, Nora moved back home with her children to care for her parents and her disabled sister, Alice. While back home Nora worked hard to provide for her family. She along with her sister, Myra, were the caretakers of the Castine Cemetery for many years. Nora then went to work for David Hatch painting homes in Castine. In later years Nora married Edward (Brock) Brockelbank of Plum Island. Together they owned and operated The Butterfly Shop in Orland, Maine. Nora's hobbies included gardening, hunting, clam digging, berry picking, beano, and baking. Her pies were always a treat for her family and neighbors. Nora will be deeply missed by her family. Lenora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward Brockelbank; sisters, Myra, Julia, Lurena, Bessie, Francis, and Alice; brothers, Woodrow, Norwood, and Earl; daughter, Delores Gilley; son, Dale Gordon; and granddaughter, Tammy Lynn Sawyer.
