Besterli, 67, of 183 Broadway, was dead on arrival Monday night at Shelby Memorial Hospital. She had been ill for a week. She spent her entire life in Shelby. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church and the Daughters of America. She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; three sons. William F. of Sandusky. Robert E. and James E.. both of Shelby; three daughters, Janice Belsterli, Mrs. Susan Muse and Mrs. Jean Ritchie, all of Shelby, a sister. Mrs. Margaret Burda of Willard and four grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Thursday at the Barkdull Funeral Home with the Rev. Douglas R. Weiss officiating. Burial in Oakland Cemetery."

[46738] Find A Gave memorial 8316513 offers: "John Peterman, son of Michael and Anna Maria Peterman was born September 20, 1774, on the Peterman plantation known as Lovely Springs in Windsor Township, York County, PA. 1776 father, Michael Peterman, served 3rd Batallion of York Associates, Captain Jacob Beaver's Company., 1777-1780 Pvt. 1st class, Captain Jacob Beavers 1st Battalion, York Co. Militia, Depreciation pay until 1783. For a good part of his young life, father (and older brothers) would be in military service for the Revolutionary War. John was nine years of age when his immigrant father, Michael Peterman died November 11, 1784. June 29, 1786, his mother remarried to Christian Winiker (Vinegar) who operated the Vinegar's Ferry across the Susquehanna River in East Donegal Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Abt. 1794, probably in York Co., PA, John Peterman married Barbara Eckert, the daughter of Jacob and Maria Magdalena Eckert. John and Barbara Peterman were the parents of at least ten children. Following the death of his mother, Anna Maria Peterman Winiker in 1810, the family of John and Barbara Peterman farmed in Cumberland County, PA. In October, 1827, they entered 320 acres of land in Liberty Township, on the Sandusky River. The land is located about mid-way between Bucyrus and Crestline and then north a couple miles. The first three settlers in Liberty Township arrived in 1827 with John Peterman being one. February 22, 1844, Barbara Eckert Peterman died, Liberty Twp., Crawford Co., OH, buried Luke Cemetery, Sandusky Twp., Crawford Co., OH John married Catherine Hare on 15 August 1844 at Richland County, Ohio. February 24, 1850, wife Catherine Hare Peterman died, buried Ontario Cemetery , Springfield Twp., Richland Co., OH. Sometime before 1855, John removed to Jackson Township where he spent the remainder of his life."
