Mr. Schreiber was born on March 28, 1853 in Pennsylvania, the son of Christian and Elizabeth Schreiber and came to Illinois when he was 15 years of age. He was united in marriage to Miss Susan Motter on December 27, 1887, and to this union were born four daughters. Mr. Schreiber has been living at his present home for the past 32 years.
