(Joe) Ginn, 58, of Marshfield, ME, passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer on December 23, 2014. He was surrounded not only by his family but many, many friends. Joe was born in Jonesport on January 17, 1956. Joe spent many years harvesting wood, he then made a decision to become a heavy equipment mechanic for Hanscom Construction, where he worked for many years. In 1999, he started his own business 'Joe's Tool Box' where he serviced trucks and equipment for anyone who needed the help. Joe has been a member of Marshfield and Machias fire departments for 38 years. Joe is survived by his mother, Margaret Ginn of Steuben, his wife of 40 years, Karen J (Farnham) Ginn of Marshfield, two sons, Joseph R Ginn and wife, Stacy of Mars Hill, David K Ginn of East Machias. Two grandsons Maximus Ginn of East Machias and Colby Flagg of Steuben. Three brothers Austin and wife Tammy of Calais, Robert and wife Faith of Steuben, Mark and wife Kathy of Eastbrook. One sister Teresa Ginn of Steuben, one sister-in-law Nancy Ginn of Steuben. Many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Walter W. Ginn, grandparents W. He enlisted in Company 8 of the Chester County Militia, under the command of Captain Eirey. He later married Susannah Rice, daughter of Zachariah and Abigail Rice. In 1787 he acquired 75 acres of land in Pikeland Township, which he would lose two years later. Jacob and Susannah then accompanied Susannah's aging father, Zachariah, to Juniata County. At the foot of Tuscarora Mountain, he built a lumber mill and a 'fulling' mill for weaving wool fabric. On May 6, 1813, Jacob died at the age of 52. He was interred at the Old Church Hill Cemetery near Port Royal, Juniata County, Pennsylvania."

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Army in the European theatre. He retired from Maine Maritime Academy after 25 years where he was an instructor as a maintenance engineer. Mr. Leach worked many years with the Hancock County Sheriffs Department and recently was the bailiff at the Hancock County Court House. Bob served the town of Penobscot for many years in different capacities, as selectman, fire chief and on other civic committees. He was a 50-year member of the Rising Star Lodge No 177 of Penobscot, the Scottish Rites of Rockland, and the Anah Temple Shrine of Bangor. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Helen Leach of Penobscot; two daughters, Della and her husband, John Martin of Blue Hill, Judith Ann and her husband, Kenneth Pendleton of Penobscot; one daughter-in-law, Christine (Piper) Leach of Penobscot; six grandchildren, Wendy and Mathieu Leach, Emily and Mac Marti,n Mary and Daniel Pendleton; five sisters, Rebecca and her husband Ernest Orcutt, Rose and her husband Halford Grindell, Esther and her husband James Austin, and Margaret and her husband Norris Austin, all of Penobscot, and Roberta Burbank of Hampden; several nieces and nephews."

He was born November 24, 1944 in Hartland, a son of Keith and Estelle (Randlett) Tapley. Peter graduated from Hartland Academy, Class of 1963 and graduated from Maine Maritime Academy in Castine, Class of 1967. Following 3 years as an engineer in the merchant marines, Peter was employed as an engineer for 8 years with the General Electric Company in Schenectady, New York. In 1978 Peter returned to Maine with his family, settling in Hampden, where he was employed as a sales engineer to the pulp and paper industry until 2003 when illness forced him to retire. Peter is survived by his wife, Corinne (MacCabe) Tapley; his two sons and their families, Jonathan and wife Joy and daughter Megan of Irmo, SC, and Jeffrey, wife Carrie and daughters Erin and Sara of West End, NC. He is also survived by his mother, Estelle Tapley of Hartland; 2 sisters, Shari Vigue of Old Orchard Beach, Deborah Tapley and partner Deborah Francis of Lexington, SC; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Peter was predeceased by his father Keith Rees Tapley and his grandparents Ada and Linwood Randlett and Amber and Hale Tapley."
