On Feb. 15, 1587/88 he married Margaret Willoughby, daughter of Sir Francis Willoughby and Elizabeth Lyttelton in Brington, Northamptonshire, England. She died in childbrith. Children: Mary, Elizabeth, John, William Spencer, 2nd Baron Spencer of Wormleighton, Richard, Edward, Margaret. Sir Robert Spencer, 1st Baron Spencer of Wormleighton held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Brackley from 1597 to 1598. He held the office of Commissioner for Musters, Northamptonshire on 19 December 1600. He held the office of Sheriff of Northamptonshire from 1601 to 1602. He was invested as a Knight, Order of the Garter (K.G.) before 7 October 1601."

He was born Oct. 25, 1951, in Machias, the third child of Everett Barnard Strout, and Annie B. (Kelley) Strout. He was educated in Milbridge schools, and was a graduate of Narraguagus High School, and Eastern Maine Vocational Technical School. Excepting several years in the construction industry, Walter spent his working life as a commercial fisherman and boat builder. He also served for many years in the National Guard. He was a member and Past Master of Pleiades Lodge No. 173, and a member of ANAH Shrine, and charter member of its mini car unit. He is survived by his sons, Joseph Strout of Fort Lupton, Colo., Brian Strout and his wife, Sunshine, of Milbridge and Daniel Strout and his fiancée Josie Cusano of Southington, Conn.; grandchildren Colby and Josie Strout of Denver, Colo., and Sullivan Strout of Milbridge; a sister, Rebecca Young. and her husband, Dennis, of Boothbay. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Everett Eugene Strout."

Reference Williams: Another authority gives the Welsh descent of the family and states that William Williams of Huntington married as his second wife, Jane Woodward, and that their son, Richard Williams, was born in England, came to New England, settling first at Dorchester, Massachusetts, in 1633, and removing to Taunton, Massachusetts; that he and his sister, Elizabeth (then both in New England), were legatees under the will of their sister, Jane of Whetenhurste, Gloucestershire, dated May 30, 1650, and proved June 3, 1655. Richard Williams was a freeman of Plymouth, June 5, 1644, but returned to Dorchester, where he was a town officer in 1658.
