In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Judy Ernest and her husband James, of Mifflintown, Vicki Spade and her husband Larry, of McAlisterville, five brothers, David C. Ritzman, of Richfield; Denton D. Ritzman, of McAlisterville; Earl W. Ritzman, of Thompsontown; Joseph D. Ritzman, of McAlisterville; Samuel R. Ritzman, of Oakland Mills; two sisters, Jane Cook, of Port Royal; Susan Mitchell, of East Salem and he leaves behind 5 grandchildren, Shelbee Dressler, James A. Ernest, Brooke E. Foster, Randall L. Guyer, Samantha L. Beward also 14 great grandchildren. He was a 1948 graduate of Fayette Twp. High School, McAlisterville and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during peacetime. Mr. Ritzman was a member of the Lost Creek Presbyterian Church, McAlisterville and currently has been attending the New Harvest Community Church, Millerstown. He had also served as a Boy Scout leader for Troop 65, McAlisterville and for many years, had managed the Fayette Lions Club Pool. In earlier life, he was a brakeman for the PA Railroad and Conrail for 37 years, and later served as a guard for Empire Kosher Poultry, Inc., Mifflintown for 15 years. Harry enjoyed hunting and gardening as well as traveling and taking vacations to Maine. He was also a devoted family man, who lived for his grandchildren and great grandchildren."
