His death certificate states he is a retired farmer and is son of Nathan Freed and Susan Snook. "The Daily Item [Sunbury, PA], 24 May 1952," p. 5: "Funeral service for Wellington I. Freed, 76, who died at his home west of McVeytown Wednesday, were held this afternoon in the Booth funeral home, McVeytown. Interment followed in Cedar Hill cemetery, Beavertown. Mr. Freed was born jyiarcn March 31, 1876, at Beavertown, a son of the late Nathan and Susan Snook Freed. His wife, Margaret Jane Middlesworth, died June 24, 1946. Survivors include eight children; a brother, Alfred, and a sister, Mrs. Verdi Dreese, of Beavertown."

Whitcomb in Chester, Vermont, June 29, 1849, and was graduated from Grinnell college, Grinnell, Iowa, in the class of 1869. She married Rev. Morris H. Robbins July 2, 1874, and came to Eugene with her husband in 1910. The couple lived in College Crest. Mr. Robbins died February 15, 1934. Mrs. Robbins was a member of the Congregational church of Grinnell, Iowa, and is survived by several cousins in the East. The body will be shipped to the Portland crematorium by Veatch chapel."
