He married Hanah Laughton on March 26, 1722, in his hometown. They had six children in 10 years. He died on December 29, 1768, in Hebron, Connecticut, at the age of 72, and was buried there. When Hanah Laughton was born on October 26, 1694, in Lynn, Massachusetts, her father, Thomas, was 23. . . . She died on May 9, 1774, in Hebron, Connecticut, having lived a long life of 79 years."
